QUEEN CITY KIZOMBA presents the 2ND QUEEN CITY KIZOMBA FESTIVAL, which focuses on the dance of Kizomba but also incorporates Zouk and Bachata. This event is specifically designed to educate and inspire all KIZOMBA lovers about Kizomba, a dance rooted in Angolan culture! The event was born in Paris, France by a Charlottean and seeks to promote unity and diversity in Charlotte and it's surrounding communities, as well as to encourage Kizomba and non-Kizomba dancers to participate in a variety of workshops and socials. This event brings together local, national and international instructors, who will teach and demonstrate Kizomba, Zouk, Semba, Afrohouse, Bachata, Tarraxinha and Soukous as well as teaching musicality, styling, beats and techniques from beginner to advanced level. Charlotte, the most attractive growing city, is home to the US National White Water Center, the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the 2016 NFC champions, the Carolina Panthers! We will also recognize North Carolina's finest dance instructors, who have provided diversity in the dance community throughout the years.
