Join TILTYARD for our inaugural production this October!

​Wily fairies, bewildered lovers, and theater-loving menials collide in a radical reworking of Shakespeare's comic fantasy. Familiar and alien, joyful and vicious, MIDSUMMER explores the destruction we foolish mortals wreak on the world around us and revels in the redemptive power of imagination. This topsy-turvy new spin on A Midsummer Night's Dream incorporates text from every play in Shakespeare's canon to create a playful, aware, contemporary tale for skeptics, romantics, and those of us who still, somehow, believe in magic.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Nope! Concessions, including alcohol (which will require a 21+ ID to purchase), will be for sale. Any and all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend. The performance has some physical violence and some loud sounds, and might be a tad spooky at times, but we think it's pretty kid friendly.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Take the NQR to 57th St/7th Ave, or the CE to 50th St, or the BDE to 7th Ave. When you get to the theater, follow the MIDSUMMER signs down the hall, to the left, and up the spiral stairs.

Is my ticket refundable/transferrable?

Nada, sorry. All sales are final.

What's the running time?

MIDSUMMER runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.
