Lanier Islands Cooks Up a Special Way to Celebrate Christmas

Once the presents have all been opened and every last stocking has been searched, Georgia’s Lanier Islands invites friends, couples and families to make for the lake for a special Christmas Day celebration. Kicking off with a sumptuous feast in Sidney’s Restaurant at Legacy Lodge, the Christmas Day Brunch will include such traditional holiday favorites as cinnamon apple croissant french toast, made-to-order omelets, deep fried turkey breast with herbed gravy, garlic and rosemary spiked sirloin au jus, green bean au gratin and an assortment of delectable desserts – just to name a few. After brunch, guests can extend the celebration with a visit to LanierWorld Winter Adventure – which includes classic carnival rides, speed slides, tubing, snow play zones, bubble skating, beloved holiday classics on the 5-story high-definition Spectacular Screen and more. When the sun goes down, the lights go up on dozens of animated light displays peppered along a 7-mile route through the resort, serving as the perfect finale to an unforgettable day.

“Our Christmas Brunch is a well-deserved gift for the cook in the family – a day off from cooking and cleaning to simply enjoy some delicious food and a relaxing time with the ones they love,” said Stephanie Orr, VP of Sales and Marketing for Lanier Islands. “When combined with all the fun to be found at our Winter Adventure, we’re sure this will be a Christmas to remember – possibly even a new tradition to be commemorated year after year.”

Served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Christmas Day Brunch at Lanier Islands is just $29.95 for adults, $24.95 for seniors (aged 65 and older), $13.95 for children (aged 6 – 12) and free for children aged 5 and younger*. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 770-945-8787.
