No Kid Hungry Atlanta ***REVIEW

The 29th Annual Atlanta's Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry went off without a hitch! Over 50 local Atlanta restaurants put their support behind this amazing cause. Every year children across this great country go to bed hungry. Events, much like this one, are putting that nightmare to rest.

This affair was held at Southern Exchange at 200 Peachtree. It was my first time at this venue and I was in for a treat. Located in historic downtown Atlanta, this building is absolutely breathtaking. It is large enough for a wedding and stylish enough for a fashion expo. I can see a myriad of events taking place here.

Upon entry, guest were greeted with a wall of champagne. Yes, you heard me right. How creative was it to have people hold champagne flutes through a wall for guests to take. At first I thought they it was a mannequin wall. It was not. Those were live people!

There was no shortage of libations this evening. From wines to signature cocktails, there was a variety of specialty drinks to experience.

The food was overwhelming. So many gourmet delicacies to choose from. Each one unique in its own right. I have never witnessed so many elite chefs in what would appear to be a giant kitchen. There were American favorites like sliders along with classic sushi. And then there was dessert. I may have had some red velvet cake to start off my night.

This celebration had no shortage of familiar celebrity faces. TV personality Cat Cora was the Honorary Chef while Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges was the Honorary Chair. Atlanta & Company's Christine Pullara shared emcee responsibility with Star 94.1's Jenn Hobby. It was beautiful to see so many give their time and effort for a greater purpose.

I enjoyed my evening and made a few new friends along the way. Thank you to Citi and Sysco for being the national co-presenting sponsors. A culinary event of this scale would not be complete without media sponsor Food Network. Last, but not least, a huge thank you goes to Open Table & The Glenlivet for being the national sponsors.

I tip my hat to Premier Agency Inc. They have the cream of the crop staff and every event is more phenomenal than the last. Kudos to you all!
