Gwinnett Braves Homestand Highlights: May 8-14

“Star Wars Night” with Sean Kazmar Jr. Bobblehead Giveaway is May 13

 

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA – The Gwinnett Braves return to Coolray Field for a seven-game homestand from Monday, May 8 through Sunday, May 14. The G-Braves will host the Toledo Mud Hens (Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers) for four games from May 8-11 and the Columbus Clippers (Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) for three games from May 12-14.

 

The first “Dog Day Monday” of 2017 starts the homestand on May 8, and the week continues with “Two-for-Tuesday” on May 9, and “Education Day” with a 10:35 a.m. start time on May 11. One of the most popular promotional nights of the season is “Star Wars Night” on May 13, featuring a Sean Kazmar Jr. “Star Wars” Bobblehead Giveaway (first 2,500 fans, sponsored by Coolray Heating & Cooling) and Post-Game Fireworks. The week concludes with “Sunday Funday” (sponsored by Georgia United Credit Union) on May 14.

Monday, May 8

Tuesday, May 9

Features:

§  Education Day – Students from schools in Gwinnett County and beyond will be in attendance for the second of two Education Days at Coolray Field. 

§  Triple Play Thursday – Fans can purchase four (4) Infield Box tickets, four (4) hot dogs and four (4) sodas for just $40, courtesy of Coolray Heating & Cooling.

 

Friday, May 12

§  Star Wars Night – Come out to Coolray Field for a night full of Star Wars-themed entertainment, sponsored by Coolray Heating & Cooling! Meet your favorite characters and enjoy unique in-game promotions!

§  Sean Kazmar Jr. “Star Wars” Bobblehead Giveaway – The first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive a limited-edition bobblehead of G-Braves’ infielder Sean Kazmar Jr., with a Star Wars spin!

§  Post-Game Fireworks – Stay after the game for a spectacular fireworks display!

 

Sunday, May 14

First Pitch: 1:05 p.m.

National Anthem performed by: Caroline Mitchell

Features:

§  Sunday Funday – Fans are invited to play catch on the field before the game from 12:05 p.m. lasting approximately 20 minutes. After the game, kids (ages 12 and under) are welcome to run the bases to cap “Sunday Funday” presented by Georgia United Credit Union.
