Atlanta Dream Ready to Tip Off Historic 10th Season


The Atlanta Dream will travel to the Connecticut Sun Saturday, May 13

ATLANTA (May 12, 2017) – The Atlanta Dream will tip off its historic 10th season on the road against the Connecticut Sun Saturday, May 13. Fans can watch the 7 p.m. game on WNBA League Pass.

Head Coach Michael Cooper opens his fourth season on the bench for the Dream. He will have a veteran roster led by guards Tiffany Hayes, Layshia Clarendon and Bria Holmes, forward Sancho Lyttle and 2016 WNBA Most Improved Player, center Elizabeth Williams.

The team’s 2017 first round draft pick, guard Brittany Sykes, also earned a spot on the final roster. She will be joined by guards Meighan Simmons, Brianna Kiesel and Matee Ajavon, as well as posts Damiris Dantas, Rachel Hollivay and Aneika Morello.

To finalize the roster, the Dream waived guards Darxia Morris and Ty Marshall Thursday.

The Atlanta Dream, who is celebrating its 10th season in the WNBA in 2017, will play its home games in McCamish Pavilion on the Georgia Tech campus. Atlanta has qualified for the playoffs seven times, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
