Dream Continue Road Trip at Chicago Friday


The Dream and Sky will continue back-to-back Sunday in Atlanta

ATLANTA (May 18, 2017) – Coming off a win at the Connecticut Sun to open the season, the Atlanta Dream head back on the road to face the Chicago Sky Friday, May 19 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

It will be the first official meeting since the Sky knocked the Dream out of the 2016 WNBA Playoffs with a 108-98 victory in the second round. The new-look Sky, who traded Elena Delle Donne to the Washington Mystics in the offseason, are led by veterans Cappie Pondexter, Tamera Young and Courtney Vandersloot.

Tiffany Hayes, who led four Dream players in double-figures against the Sun, will look to start the season 2-0 for the first time since 2014. The Dream set a new WNBA record in the first half of last weekend’s game, connecting on 21 free throws.

Atlanta and Chicago will continue their back-to-back series Sunday, May 21 at McCamish Pavilion on the Georgia Tech campus beginning at 3 p.m. The Dream will be celebrating their 10th season anniversary throughout the afternoon.

The Atlanta Dream, who is celebrating its 10th season in the WNBA in 2017, will play its home games in McCamish Pavilion on the Georgia Tech campus. Atlanta has qualified for the playoffs seven times, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
