Enjoy the Southern Sipper at Atlas

Celebrating the very best in seasonal American cuisine, Atlas, located in the St. Regis Atlanta in Buckhead is not only offering a special three-course seasonal menu throughout the month of August for $65 per person, but while indulging in the melon gazpacho, grilled rack of lamb, and raspberry hibiscus donuts, patrons can also take advantage of Atlas’ summer cocktail specials.

While relaxing on the expansive outdoor patio, in the Tavern or dining room, guests can enjoy the Southern Sipper, Atlas’ latest boozy treat created by Bar Director Carl Gilbert. An ideal cocktail for summer, The Southern Sipper combines that beloved bourbon flavor with floral, berry and dark spiced sweetness, and the refreshing citrus flavors of fresh squeezed lemon juice.

SOUTHERN SIPPER (RECIPE BY ATLAS’ BAR DIRECTOR CARL GILBERT):

Ingredients:

Honey- Infused Cherry Coke Syrup:

16 ounces Coca-Cola

4 ounces Honey

6 ounces Cherry Syrup

(we use Luxardo Maraschino)

Summer Sipper:

2 ounces Bulleit Bourbon

1 1/2 ounces Honey-Infused Cherry Coke Syrup

1 ounce Fresh Lemon Juice

1/4 ounce Fernet Branca

Directions:

To make Honey- Infused Cherry Coke Syrup: In a medium saucepan, add Coca- Cola, honey, and cherry syrup. Slowly bring to a boil and stir. Reduce heat to a simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. Store remaining syrup in refrigerator for up to one week.

To make Summer Sipper: Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake mildly, and pour into a rocks glass over crushed ice. Garnish with mint spring. Please enjoy responsibly.
