Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE ***REVIEW

Ash Said it and the Mitsubishi Mirage G4

The Mitsubishi brand continues to stand the test of time. With decades of success, they continue to lead in innovation. The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is an incredible addition. I experienced so many firsts with this vehicle.

I have never driven a car that has keyless entry until now. I kept grabbing the keypad expecting to see a key. No key here. The black button, in place of a keyhole, operates the lock/unlock feature. As long as the keypad is in the vicinity of the car, just pushing the button will both open and lock the doors.

Before heading out one morning, I forgot the keypad inside. Unknowingly, I pushed the little button and was perplexed as to why it would not open. I felt so silly when I realized what I had done. This is a great security measure.

The push start/stop was a marvelous touch. It was a brand new concept for me to push a button rather than turn a key. Again, if the keypad is not in the vicinity, this feature will not work. As a safety precaution, your foot must push the break pedal before starting the engine.

I got some amazing mileage on this vehicle. After 70+ miles, only quarter of the tank was empty. I had a way to go so I decided to fill up. The gas tank release was along the lining of the floor. I pulled it and hopped out the car. The pump stopped at $5.89. Five dollars and eighty-nine cents? It takes a lot more than that to fill quarter of a tank on my usual automobile.

The bluetooth technology may possibly be my favorite feature. I was not familiar with Apple CarPlay. This feature basically morphed the touchscreen display into my phone. Every detail of my phone including contacts and text messages were available via this touchscreen. This was mind blowing. I was even able to connect to my Spotify and hear my favorite stations. The steering wheel was also connected to the bluetooth and allowed me to make/hang up on calls. The audio quality was stunning.

The rearview camera is incredible. The picture is clear and was very helpful when in reverse. The wide angle view made it easy to navigate in and out of narrow spaces. It put my mind at ease as my view was uncovered.

The power steering was awesome! It was as if I was gliding down the road. I can't recall ever riding in a car, much less driving one, that was as smooth of a ride as this one. I can't really think of any criticisms beyond having issues locating the headlights in the dark.

I had to leave out very early one morning and I thought I had everything set. I pack my bags, locked the doors but noticed that it was a bit dim outside. I reached around the steering wheel for the knob and it seemed to be stuck. After a few attempts, I was able to turn on the headlights for my first outing.

The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 gets the 'Ash Said It Stamp of Approval'! While operating this car I felt safe, secure and as if I was riding in the lap of luxury. Be sure to check out the Mirage as well as the other phenomenal models of the ingenious Mitsubishi brand on Mitsubishicars.com.
