Atlanta’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry Celebrates 30 Years on May 3

Atlanta’s top chefs, restaurateurs and mixologists join forces to help end childhood hunger

(Atlanta, GA) – Prepare your taste buds for the return of the city’s most anticipated culinary event of the year, Atlanta’s Taste of the Nation® for No Kid Hungry. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the event will take place on Thursday, May 3rd in a brand-new venue, Cobb Galleria Centre, featuring more restaurants, more chefs and more surprises. 100% of proceeds support Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign to end childhood hunger in America.

The city’s premier culinary benefit will bring together Atlanta’s most celebrated chefs and mixologists for an evening of fine food, wine and fundraising. This year will introduce a host of new, elevated culinary experiences to celebrate the city’s hospitality industry and highlight its connoisseurs, including the opportunity to take part in an exclusive experience, only available to a limited number of guests wishing to be in the middle of all the action. This experience includes a table with prime positioning near the stage, exclusive one-on-one with the evening’s chefs and a front-row seat to the much-anticipated live auction.

More than 1,500 guests expected to attend will have the opportunity to take part in the Grand Tasting, sampling signature fare and spirits from over 75 of the city’s premier restaurants while enjoying live, silent and beverage auctions, wine tastings and live entertainment.

One in six children in this country struggles with hunger, including more than 520,000 kids in Georgia. No Kid Hungry is ending childhood hunger today by ensuring that kids start the day with a nutritious breakfast and families learn the skills they need to shop and cook on a budget. Since the campaign’s launch, No Kid Hungry and its partners have connected kids struggling with hunger with more than 775 million meals.

In 2017, Atlanta’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry raised more than $795,000 for the No Kid Hungry campaign and its local beneficiaries. With the funds raised, the No Kid Hungry campaign can feed kids facing hunger more than 6.1 million healthy school breakfasts. Local beneficiaries include the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Our House, Inc., HealthMPowers and Open Hand Atlanta.
