Heritage Sandy Springs is gearing up to present the 33rd Annual Sandy Springs Festival, a two-day event in the heart of Sandy Springs on September 22 and 23. This year’s Festival has a brandnew footprint anchored by City Springs, which provides an opportunity for several new and exciting features.

Over the years, the Festival has celebrated the city’s heritage and present day Sandy Springs with an artist market, foodcourt, exhibits by local businesses and civic organizations, a children’s zone, musical entertainment, and more. As Sandy Springs has grown, it has become home to an increasingly diverse international population that has put down roots in the area and enriched the community with their unique cultures.

This year, the Sandy Springs Festival will feature a “Cultural Corner” – a lively, fun, and educational series of exhibits and activities designed to showcase and celebrate the community’s diversity. This interactive area will be in a prime locationon Mt. Vernon Highway adjacent to City Springs. Local ethnic restaurants, businesses, civic organizations, and artists are invited to participate and tell their stories through cuisine, goods and services, music, dance, art, and crafts. HeritageSandy Springs’ vision is to create a colorful international market atmosphere where attendees can meet their newestneighbors while enjoying their unique cultures.

International artists, businesses, civic groups, and restaurants are encouraged to contact the Festival Director atfestival@heritagesandysprings.org for more information regarding participation. The application deadline for the Cultural Corner is July 23, 2018.
