Sidebar Announces Official Party for Atlanta Falcons Home Game against the Saints

Atlanta, GA - Sidebar in downtown Atlanta is pleased to announce that it will be partnering with the Atlanta Falcons to host an official Falcons Party on Sunday September 23rd, when the Falcons face up to their long time rivals, the New Orleans Saints.

“Other than the Superbowl, this is the most important Falcons home game before February of next year,” says Sidebar owner David Anthony. “Everyone in Atlanta will be watching this game – we couldn’t be happier to host the celebrations at Sidebar.”

Sidebar is located in the historic Fairlie Poplar district of Atlanta, less than a mile from Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Under new ownership since 2017, the new owners have recently completed extensive renovations to the underground lounge around the bar area. This portion of the bar is already open for special events, and will be open to the public daily starting in October.

“We have the best guests here, amazing people just gravitate to this place for some reason,” adds Anthony. “Delicious food, friendly staff, good vibes… I really believe that Sidebar is the friendliest bar in Atlanta.”

The Falcons and the Saints have a history of rivalry that spans over 40 years. Fans of both teams have long considered the other their most important and loathed opponent. In recent years, games between the two teams have been referred to as the "Southern Showdown." In 2017, both stadiums in Atlanta and New Orleans have been named ‘Mercedes-Benz,’ resulting in a new nickname for the rivalry, ‘The Mercedes-Benz Bow.’

“I love Atlanta so much,” concludes Anthony. “With so much hate and ugliness going on in the world these days, it’s an amazing experience to see this many people, especially in a beautifully diverse city such as ours, come together and unite. You can see the love. You can feel it."
