MomoCon Celebrates Glorious 15 Years

May 31, 2019

The mark of summer is not complete without the start of MomoCon. What is MomoCon? Its a celebration of animation, gaming, comics, costuming and so much more! For months cosplayers, gamers and fans alike have been waiting in anticipation of this wonderful event. MomoCon has been an Atlanta staple event for over 15 years now. In that time, audiences of all ages, nationalities and interests have been introduced to this fun filled weekend.

This year was exceptional. I got to tag along with my younger sister and her friends. We found ourselves lost in the dealers room! Lol. Not litrally. But there was so much ground to cover there. The vendors were amazing! As they usally are. I got a chance to meet and hang out with SINKR 2 developer Robert Wahler. He debuted the sequel to last years fan favorite SINKR at the convention.

MomoCon has grown tremendously since its earlier Georgia Tech days. Back then I had no idea things would grow and progress like they have. Not only was the fan art outstanding but the food trucks were SO GOOD. I absolutely fell in love with Sunshine Alchemy. This plant based meal on wheels was exactly what non-meat eaters needed. The staff was so knowledgeable and kind. I could eat that stuff all day.

We were over the moon to meet one of our favorite stars. Mr. Patrick Warburton. Many of you know him from The Tick, Seinfeld but most will recognize him as the voice of Joe Swanson on Family Guy. He had a calmness that was comforting to everybody he encountered. That was totally a major highlight.

This four day weekend is a traditon we look forward to every memorial day weekend. And you should too. The plans for 2020 are already up and awaiting you. Plan ahead for the best deals on memberships and hotels. Why? Cuz Ash Said It!
