Omi Grace and the Urban Exploress Present: 1 of Minnie

Join Omi Grace and the Urban Exploress on Saturday, August 24, 2019 for the official unveiling of “1 of Minnie” : an art project, sensorial experience, and celebration of Black sisterhood that has been 448 days, 1,952 hours in the making. For the first and only time, each unique and hand painted portrait of Symone Lakes’ beloved ‘Minnies’ series will be displayed side-by-side, one thousand in total, as one large singular piece. A massive wall of vivacious Black faces, each individually placed, each creating the collective, and each made just for this day.

Just for this purpose.

It is with great joy and love that we invite you to this communal experience - where taste, touch, sight, smell, and sound will be in celebration OF ALL THAT IS US. Show up ready to revel in y(our) power. To bask in y(our) beauty. To be reminded of y(our) worthiness. To celebrate y(our) individuality. To find y(our) way home.

PARKING: Metered Parking is available in front of venue and paid lot parking is available 1 block over.
