Emory Lung Transplant to Support Life Saving Lung Disease Education, Advocacy Through American Lung

In January, Emory Lung Transplant signed on as the signature sponsor of the American Lung Association’s Fight For Air Climb on Saturday, April 18 at 191 Peachtree Tower. Hundreds of American Lung Association supporters will be climbing up 51 floors – that’s 1,200 stairs in support of friends and loved ones who suffer from lung diseases like asthma and lung cancer and raise funds for clean air and lung disease research, education and advocacy.

A unique endurance event to benefit a good cause, the annual Fight For Air Climb has been reaching exhilarating heights for over 13 years in Atlanta. “Breathing should not be an uphill battle, and but for many people in Georgia it is,” said Rochelle Smalls, executive director of the American Lung Association in Georgia. “We are excited to be part of this important event and shedding light on the all-important work of the American Lung Association and supporting the over 1,257,000 individuals diagnosed with a lung disease in Georgia.”

Emory Lung Transplant will be encouraging its employees to step up to the challenge and sign up for the Fight For Air Climb whether individually or as a team. Registration is $25 per participant and includes a $100 fundraising minimum. For more information or to register, contactAtlantaClimb@Lung.org, 770*544-0521, or visitFightForAirClimb.org/Atlanta.
