Moondogs in Buckhead set to reopen

July 18, 2020

Providing endless entertainment for Atlantans and visitors alike for more than 27 years in the heart of Buckhead, Moondogs is excited to announce the reopening of their doors on Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25, 2020, since they first closed down in early March due to COVID-19. Implementing increased health and safety precautions and procedures for their guests and staff, over the past couple of months the hardworking team at Moondogs have thoroughly sanitized the building and have updated their regulations in accordance to CDC guidelines including; safety screens safe guarding each service well, multiple hand sanitizing stations placed at the entrance and throughout the bar, limited seating with 6-foot parameters set in place, plastic cups with lids and wrapped straws available upon request, QR codes will be available for guests to read drink menus on their phones, personal microphone koozies will be available for guests singing karaoke, strict routine cleaning schedules are put in place and so much more. In addition, employees are required to wear face masks, the bar will have face masks available for purchase, and all employees and patrons will be checked upon entry with a temperature reader then asked if they have come into contact with anyone that has felt sick or has been diagnosed.

"When COVID-19 swept across Atlanta in March of this year we decided not to open for business, even before the closures were mandated by our Mayor, because we were genuinely concerned for the health and safety of our staff and patrons. In the past four months our management team has come together to develop COVID-19 safeguards, procedures and policies that far exceed the guidelines established by the CDC. We’ve also utilized the downtime to refinish, renovate and renew our entire establishment. As always our number one priority is to provide a safe, enjoyable and comfortable environment for our guests. As we reopen, we are taking tremendous precautions and we will constantly be updating our safety protocols to best care for both our employees and customers. For over 27 years our guests have always come first and that will never change." stated by Michael Taylor, Owner of Moondogs.
