Atlanta Brand Your Business Expo

The Brand Your Own Business Expo was an explosive success! Kudos to Events By CCM www.BrandYourBusinessExpo.com. This event gave local Atlanta businesses the opportunity to network with other successful entrepreneurs. If you missed this phenomenal event, I have a few highlights for you. It was held at the beautiful Royal Room Event Center (royalroomevents@gmail.com) located in Ellenwood, Ga. This location was pivotal in showcasing the diverse vendors from across the metro area and beyond.

Our host for the evening was the multi-talented Boss Chix ATL Janet Jackson (@BossChixAtl). In typical Boss Chix fashion, she kept the crowds excited, informed & entertained like only she could. She was a perfect fit for this gathering. Keep up to date with her epic events-> www.bosschixatlanta.com

Five Shots Photography Montravious White (@FiveShotsPhotography) was in the building getting shots of people that posed in front of the beautiful pink backdrop. I met the vice president of No Excuses Period (@No_Excuses_Period) Charmaine Barnhill & she gave me a brief interview for my podcast. She talked about how their brand was not just about working out. It is about a healthy lifestyle & how we take care of our bodies on a regular basis.

I had a chat with Independent Damsel Pro Stephanie Vaughan about Damsel in Defense. Women in 2015 need to protect themselves especially when you are on the go. Some people do not feel comfortable toting a gun around. Understandable. Damsel in Defense has an array of different products to keep you safe. Check out some of the products here: www.mydamselpro.net/pro9351

The Tax People were my next stop. No matter what part of your entrepreneurial journey you're at, this was a table we all need to visit. I had the pleasure of meeting Avery Swain & we briefly discussed my tax needs for my new companies. Contact them for any tax questions regarding your new or preexisting business. Info@ineedirshelp.com or 404-445-8100.

I met the founders of A C.H.A.N.G.E. Generation Inc. (www.achangegeneration.org) and heard about this amazing program. Transitioning from foster care into the real world can be a huge change. This organization serves as a catalyst in aiding young adults take control of their future. They offer programs such as money management, self care and meal preparation. There is also a mentoring program. These young people may have come from trying times but having someone share insight on how they overcame adversities can help.

Mama Ru Makeup (@mamaRuMakeup) was on deck! Shay Smith had her team suited up in Mama Ru glam shirts as she conducted on site makeup demos. This lady knows exactly what she's doing. Women left her chair looking like they just stepped off a movie set.

Ms Renata Eileena (@RenataEileenashoes) traveled from Philadelphia to be a part of this extravaganza. She knew how big it would be for her company. Renata Eileena Custom Shoes are like nothing you've ever seen on a store shelf! From flower petals to pearls and even Glass! Yes Glass! She has any eye for what stands out & that is why her shoes are on the map. Keep a look out--> www.RenataEileena.com.

The next table traveled from Augusta, Ga to join in the festivities. Renu'd Ionic Foot Detoxing (@RenudatKingdomStylz) naturally cleanses & detoxifies the body through the feet. A 30 minute session of soaking your feet will pull toxins out of the body leaving you refreshed. They travel to Atlanta frequently but check out their site for details on upcoming events www.Renudatkingdomstylz.com.

Vanity Lashes By Kelsie (www.facebook.com/LoveVLBK) educated me on the intricate process of lash extensions. The process usually takes approximately 3 hours and lashes are placed one by one. Yes. One by one. I've never done it but I'm excited to try it soon.

Ms Tinisha McCroskey is leaving her stamp with her virtual assistant company Ussistant. This company helps artists, non profits and small business owners find balance. The company initially started out helping business owners but soon found a niche with non profits and artists as well. If you're in need of a virtual assistant, check out the site www.Ussistant.com.

Diamond Sands is the owner of Lux VI Hair (http://www.luxvihair.com) and we discussed her massive increase in sales from last year to this one. This young lady is a recent Spelman College grad & I am so happy to see her thriving in her field.

Did I mention I won something? Yes, I won a digital book from the talented author Erica Kane (@EricaKaneWrites). Erica brings the real deal to her books. She told me that her latest series is loosely based off of her personal experiences. Check out where you can catch her next via www.EricaKaneWrites.com.

I enjoyed myself tremendously & I cannot wait until the next event!
