The Cheesecake Factory Grand Opening at The Collection at Forsyth on July 21

Stepping into The Cheesecake Factory at The Collection at Forsyth felt like a major full-circle moment. As a former flight attendant, these restaurants were my sanctuary. Such a reliable home base between long hauls and exhausting layovers. I’ve spent countless hours decompressing over their legendary menu, so when I received an exclusive invite to their Tasting Kitchen event ahead of the July 21st grand opening, I couldn't resist.

I want to be transparent: I was not paid for this review. Anyone who follows my content knows that I am a tough critic. As a consumer who truly enjoys a quality dining experience, I hold every establishment to a high standard, regardless of the occasion or the invitation. I came with a specific mission: to see if this new Forsyth location could actually deliver on the consistency and excellence I’ve come to expect over the years. I decided to bypass my usual favorites to properly stress-test the kitchen, and I’m happy to report that my tastebuds were absolutely delighted.

The atmosphere was immediate perfection. Unlike some locations that can feel cramped or chaotic, the interior design here is airy, polished, and surprisingly spacious. There was plenty of room to navigate without bumping into tables. This is a massive win in my book. For those who prefer the outdoors, the 85-seat patio is a total game-changer, perfectly set up for large groups or those gorgeous Georgia evenings.

A huge shoutout to my server, Luciano, whose infectious energy and deep knowledge of the menu made choosing my courses a breeze. It’s nice to see such genuine enthusiasm and it set the tone for the entire afternoon.

The culinary experience started with the warm, freshly baked bread—crusty on the outside, pillowy on the inside, and timed perfectly. I also tried the Pineapple Mule (Zero-Proof), which was a revelation. Composed of Seedlip Grove 42 with ginger, pineapple, and fresh lime, it was incredibly crisp and packed with a complex, vibrant flavor.

For an appetizer, we had the Mac n Cheese Balls. These golden, crispy spheres filled with thick, creamy elbow pasta and rich cheese sauce are a classic for a reason. The accompanying marinara sauce cuts through the richness beautifully—my sister’s forever favorite, and now I see why.

While my heart usually belongs to the Jamaican Black Pepper Shrimp, I opted for the Teriyaki Salmon after Luciano’s suggestion. Charbroiled to flaky perfection and served over fluffy white rice with pineapple, sautéed veggies, and a sesame finish. It was a balanced, delicious masterpiece.

For the grand finale, I took a gamble on a flavor I hadn’t tried yet: the Peach Perfect Cheesecake. With real peach swirls and a sharp, tangy raspberry drizzle, this might just be my new #1. The texture was silky smooth, and the fruit pairing was pure heaven.

A massive kudos to GM Nicole Davis and her entire management team. For a team essentially running their first major event, they operated with the precision and grace of seasoned pros.

The hospitality, the speed of service, and the quality of the food were all on point. If you’re in the Forsyth area, mark your calendars for their Grand Opening on July 21st. You’re in for a treat!
