Mixology Class at STK Atlanta
I enjoyed an evening at STK Atlanta for Ketel One Vodka's Mixology Class. An exclusive group of ATL Influencers were invited to this special affair. I had never been to a mixology class so I was very intrigued. Our assignment was to create the Cucumber Stiletto.
The STK staff was incredible. The food was amazing. I don't remember what the welcome cocktail was but it was tasty. It was a citrus blend that included the rind of an orange.
Anyone that knows me knows that I love some good bread. Especially if its fresh out the oven. I am notorious for skipping meals because I over indulge on this incredible creation. This bread was savory, soft and baked exactly as it should be. It was accompanied by another one of my favorites. Pesto. I'm a big pesto fan as well. When its done right it makes all the difference. There were a host of elegant starters such as smoked salmon, pork, truffle fries and the cutest sliders I've ever seen.
And then class was in session. I didn't know what to expect. Luckily for me, our Mixologist made the the whole ordeal super easy. Everything that we needed was in front of us at our place setting. First we dumped the ingredients such as the mint and the cucumber pieces in the mixer. Next, we used a hand tool to crush up and bring out the aromas. Then we dumped the shot glasses filled with all the liquids. They included Ketel One Citroen, St Germain, lime juice and simple. How easy was that? Super Easy! And it was time for more action. We put the bottom half on top and began to shake. Before we knew it, we were done. They showed us how to strain the drink and we were officially finished.
adventurous. I enjoyed it. It was light and creamy. Perfect end to an outstanding evening.My cucumber stiletto was complete and I was accomplished. As if I had room for more food, they brought out the most decadent dessert. It was an Italian blueberry custard decorated with fresh blueberries, cream and cookie crumbles. It looked questionable but I'm glad I'm an adventurous foodie!
This event was so much fun. I tip my hat to Caren West and the entire team. They always create the most amazing events in the city.
