Pajama Program Reading Center(Atlanta) Opening

Many came out in support of the Pajama Program Reading Center in Atlanta, Ga. This VIP event was studded with county officials, the CEO of Carter's Mike Casey and the First Lady of Georgia Sandra Deal. Both public figures gracefully cut the ribbon commemorating this grand opening.

Once the front doors opened it was like stepping into a whimsical storytale full of fantasy. This center allows for the community to share a pair of pajamas and a book with a child in need. It creates a fun and safe environment for children to learn and continue their education. There are programs for kids from preschool to high school.

The children absolutely loved when First Lady Sandra Deal read them a story. I could tell that she enjoyed the moment as well. Media guests were greeted with a bountiful goodie bag jam packed with VIP Treats that we can use.

A special thank you goes out to Carter's, Elf on the Shelf, Target, Mannington Flooring, Baker's Man, The Atlanta Woman's Club Education Committee, Caleb Onsite Wood Work, Pinniger Family, US Electric Supply and Scholastic. I was pleased to meet Pajama Program founder Genevieve Piturro. She was a delight and brimming with joy for this amazing day.

This spot will need all our love and attention in order to grow. If you know of children that could gain by utilizing this spot, share this information. If you would like to volunteer, contact Douna Hunter (404) 748-9221.
