Hayes Voted WNBA Eastern Conference All-Star Starter
The sixth-year veteran will make her first career All-Star appearance
ATLANTA (July 11, 2017) - Atlanta Dream guard Tiffany Hayes has been voted a starter for the Eastern Conference at the Verizon WNBA All-Star 2017 game, the league announced Tuesday afternoon live on ESPNews.
Hayes, a six-year veteran, will make her first appearance in the WNBA All-Star game when it tips Saturday, July 22 at 3:30 p.m. ET in KeyArena, home of the Seattle Storm. The game will be televised by ABC.
Averaging a career-high 16.6 points per game, Hayes ranks 10th overall in the league. She also ranks fourth overall with 1.7 steals per game. A slasher, Hayes is attempting 6.4 free-throws a game, good for second in the WNBA and is connecting on 83.5% of those attempts.
The All-Star reserves, who will be selected by the Eastern and Western Conference head coaches, respectively, will be announced on Tuesday, July 18 during ESPN2’s telecast of the Storm and the Chicago Sky (9 p.m. ET).
The Atlanta Dream are on the road and will play at the Phoenix Mercury Wednesday night at 10 p.m. ET. Fans can watch the game on FOX Sports Southeast.

The Atlanta Dream, who is celebrating its 10th season in the WNBA in 2017, will play its home games in McCamish Pavilion on the Georgia Tech campus. Atlanta has qualified for the playoffs seven times, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
