Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta Welcomes 20-Year Hotel and Hospitality Industry Veteran as New General Manager

Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta and Sonesta ES Suites Gwinnett Place are excited to announce the newest addition to its executive team—Brett DeLoach. As the new general manager, he will handle all hotel operations, financial management, revenue generation and overall team structure for both properties.

DeLoach is no stranger to the hotel industry and brings more than 20 years of industry experience to Sonesta in Gwinnett Place. His management career started at Embassy Suites Hotel in Jacksonville, FL, where he was the assistant manager and responsible for improving quality assurance, increasing loss prevention and overseeing operations for 277 suites. From there, DeLoach became the general manager for Hotel Indigo in Jacksonville and then moved to Atlanta, GA to become the general manager for DoubleTree by Hilton. There, his role focused on providing day-to-day leadership and operational management and spearheading the hiring and supervising of his executive team.

“We are excited to have Brett lead our growing team,” said Mark Sherwin, Executive Vice Preseident of Operations for Sonesta. “In keeping with our goal of providing the best customer service possible, we know Brett will play a huge part in ensuring our guests continue to have an enjoyable and memorable experience with the best hospitality team in the business."

DeLoach has already hit the ground running and looks forward to growing and thriving at the recently dual-branded property. As a seasoned professional in hotel management, his leadership will greatly benefit the team and allow for continued learning and development at this unique property in the Sonesta portfolio.
