CORONA ELECTRIC BEACH’S “BATTLE FOR THE BEACH” CONTEST IS SENDING ONE UP-AND-COMING DJ TO LAS VEGAS TO PLAY THE WORLD’S BIGGEST STAGE: ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL (EDC)

(New York, NY) - April 24, 2018 -- Today, Corona Electric Beach and WAVO, the world’s largest music competition platform, announced “Battle for the Beach,” a competition that will send a burgeoning DJ to play on the world’s biggest dance stage, Electronic Daisy Carnival (EDC) in Las Vegas. Launched in conjunction with Billboard Magazine and Insomniac Records, DJs from across the US can enter the competition to have their music heard, amplified, and shared by some of dance music’s most influential brands. Now through May 4th, DJs can upload their original song or mix to the Corona Electric Beach Wavo page, where it will be heard and considered by Corona, Insomniac Records and Billboard.

One lucky contestant will win an all-expense-paid trip to EDC Las Vegas to live out their dreams by playing a set on the Corona Electric Beach stage in front of thousands. They will share the stage alongside famed special Guest DJs and dance music collective Brownies and Lemonade who will also play the Corona Electric Beach stage during the three-day festival.

Corona strives to give all of our consumers fun and memorable experiences. Corona Electric Beach brings music fans together with the best DJ’s in a way that only Corona can, a place where we can truly say “beats meet the beach, ”says Megan Brown, Corona Marketing. “We, along with our partners at Insomniac Records, Billboard, and Wavo, are excited to celebrate the creativity and excitement these new artists will bring to Corona Electric Beach.

Corona Electric Beach has become one of the most popular destinations at music festivals across the nation. What originally started as a one-off NYC event in 2011 has now become one of music’s biggest installations. A festival within the festival, Corona Electric Beach brings a beach, including a pool, sand, and palm trees, to where you least expect it inside the country’s most popular music festivals and parties. World class DJs including A-Trak, Party Favor, MATOMA, Illenium, and others have brought their ‘’beats to the beach” where partygoers can go and enjoy a world-class beach party in the middle of a festival fairground, nightclub, or rooftop pool.

This year, the action is turned up even further as Corona Electric Beach begins their Road to EDC – which consists of four events across the nation (Miami, LA, Denver, and Dallas) leading up to one of the biggest festivals of the year, EDC in Las Vegas.

DJs who would like to enter the contest, and are over the age of 25, can upload their remix to the Corona Electric Beach Wavo page at:
