ATLANTA’S FETCH PARK CELEBRATES NATIONAL DOG DAY IN STYLE

On the heels of celebrating its one-year anniversary and recognizing National Dog Day (August 26), Georgia’s first full-service dog park bar Fetch Park announced today that it will be expanding into five southeast markets including Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC, Birmingham, AL; Alpharetta, GA; and Nashville, TN (previously announced). The new locations will roll out within the next two years, with three of the locations to open within the next 18 months.
“Our first year has been a whirlwind, but an amazing success,” said founder and CEO Stephen Ochs. “We have enjoyed getting to know all our customers and see the joy the park has brought them and their dogs and are looking forward to bringing Fetch into these new markets because every city should have a place where both people and their best friends can truly ‘Unleash and Unwind’.™”
Fetch will also be launching its first app over the next month and has been working with local tech start-up Tyrannosaurus Tech to create the app which is designed to create as safe an atmosphere at the park as possible for dogs and their owners. The app will manage data, alert owners and the park when vaccinations are set to expire and will also let the ‘bark rangers’ share behavior notes with dog owners so they can actively improve their dog’s social traits.
The park opened its first location in 2018 and throughout the park’s first year it saw tremendous success. Fetch was not only featured by The Travel Channel, but the park also hosted large scale events with brands such as ESPN for an ACC Network Launch Party, REI for an #OptOutside event, and monthly singles events with dating app Bumble. Fetch was founded by Stephen Ochs out of a desire to be able to hang out with both his beloved boxer and Fetch Park CEO (Canine Enjoyment Officer) Oakley and his friends. He was tired of having to make the impossible choice of hanging out with his friends or his best friend after work. The park was the first of its kind when plans started for Fetch over 5 years ago. Ochs’s love of sports, specifically his baseball background, shine through in the unique design of the park which has the feel of a rustic minor league ballpark.
