Ray’s Restaurants Shares Secrets to Successful Holiday Party Planning
Iconic Restaurant Group has All the Details Covered for Organizing a Big To-Do This Season
ATLANTA – No matter how small or large the details, the sales and events teams at Ray’s Restaurants – Ray’s on the River, Ray’s at Killer Creek and Ray’s in the City – have them all covered. These teams have celebrated successes – and learned from the occasional hiccup – and are experts in making celebrations shine. And each Ray’s Restaurant location offers unique environs and spaces to accommodate gatherings of all sizes.
In the spirit of the rapidly approaching holiday season, the following are a few of Ray’s Restaurants’ favorite party-planning pointers to ensure festive and fret-free festivities:
Start early! Holiday bookings start filling up fast, so start early or have a couple of different dates in mind when looking for a venue to ensure you get the space and time you want.
Be specific. The more you tell us about what you want from your event the more personalized we can make it. We love finding creative ways to wow our guests so don’t be afraid to ask for something outside of the box.
Do something different. Plan a bourbon tasting or a cocktail-making demonstration, play holiday games, or choose a theme and ask your guests to dress up.
Define the dress code. Whether cocktail or casual, it’s important for hosts to make their preference known. Guests generally like an excuse to dress up - especially during the holidays - so consider ditching the Christmas sweaters for cocktail attire.
Keep the drinks flowing. Everyone is more relaxed with a drink, and December is the one month of the year where calories don’t count.
Throw out the assigned seating. Cocktail style is the way to go for holiday parties. Rather than having a seat for everyone, set the room with a mixture of standing hi-boys and tables for sitting to encourage guests to mix and mingle.
Don’t stress. Leave the small details to us. If you have special décor or party favors, drop them off early and let us handle it. You have worked hard planning the perfect party, and you should get to enjoy it!
Focus on fun. It can be easy to get overwhelmed focusing on menus and centerpieces, but your guests are going to remember the memories they make more than the color of the tablecloths. If everyone is enjoying themselves, then you have done your job, so grab a glass of wine and relax.
