Atlanta Landmark Slutty Vegan Opened its Third Location
While the world is in crisis Slutty Vegan is proving that with the right formula, you can be pandemic proof as the popular plant-based concept opens its third brick-and-mortar location. Opening festivities for Slutty Vegan, the Atlanta plant-based phenomenon, commenced on Saturday, October 24, 2020. The celebration included a ribbon cutting ceremony, special guests Dr. Bernice A. King, Kasim Reed, Gabrielle Union-Wade, Kandi Burruss-Tucker and Todd Tucker, Yung Joc, Headkrack, and more.
Aisha "Pinky" Cole, the CEO and Founder of Atlanta-based Slutty Vegan launched Slutty Vegan in 2018 as a pop-up concept and food truck. In January 2019 she opened the first Slutty Vegan ATL brick-and-mortar takeout restaurant, and now in 2020 she owns a total of 3 restaurants and 2 food trucks, which have become a local sensation and garnered national publicity.
“We are thrilled to move into the historic Edgewood District of Atlanta. Edgewood is the exact neighborhood where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. grew up, and with his birth home being located directly behind Slutty Vegan, I know he has my back,” said Pinky Cole, CEO and Founder of Slutty Vegan. “It’s a true blessing to continue opening new locations when there are so many other small businesses whose doors have closed during the global pandemic. I want to empower those business owners to never give up on their dreams and continue to fight for what they love and what I know they too can accomplish,” Cole continued.
The Edgewood Atlanta restaurant location features an expanded menu with more choices and new items, including traditional fan favorites as well. The location also features state of the art interior designs, aesthetics and a merchandise section where die-hards can take a piece of the Slutty memorabilia home with them after getting #Sluttified. Like the Westend and Jonesboro restaurant locations, the Edgewood location remains takeout only for now, due to the ongoing health crisis.
