I can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven past Alchemist Trading Co. over the last decade, always wondering if I should stop. Well, I finally did, and oh my goodness, I am so glad I did!
From the outside, it looks pretty tame and unassuming for a coffee shop, but the moment you step inside, it’s like walking into a completely different universe. The interior is absolutely gorgeous. I kid you not, it makes you feel like you’re sitting inside a real-life geode! The walls are lined with the cutest shelves and unique little trinkets.
Their counters were stacked with all kinds of delicious-looking treats, and I honestly had a hard time deciding what to get. I finally settled on a chai tea and a caramel croffle.
What really blew me away was how different this place feels from a standard chain coffee shop. The staff genuinely made me feel welcome and cared for. Within just a few minutes, my order was ready, and both items were incredible!
The chai tea tasted so authentic, not like it came out of a mass-produced bottle. And the croffle? Perfect. It had that beautiful, subtle essence of a flaky croissant, and the caramel wasn’t overly sugary at all, so you could actually enjoy the rich flavors.
I had the most pleasant, relaxed afternoon here. If you’re ever in the area and looking for a cozy spot to unwind, you absolutely have to check this place out!
