the newest menus from The Betty and rooftop bar St. Julep, both located at Kimpton Sylvan Hotel in the heart of Buckhead.
Both kitchens are led by Executive Chef Jay Swift, whose menus reflect his signature blend of classic technique and modern sensibility. He brings more than three decades of expertise to his role and has built a distinguished career leading celebrated culinary teams in the Southeast, including at his beloved Old Fourth Ward restaurant 4th & Swift. He has also helped launch Tennessee hotel kitchens including at The Harpeth Hotel in Franklin.
Tucked just beyond the hotel’s portico, The Betty harnesses a timeless charm where warm hospitality makes a night on the town feel extraordinary. Chef Jay curates a selection of classic, New American supper club staples including appetizers and salads, grand plates for sharing, entrees and sides. Seasonal ingredients and locally sourced fare shine in sophisticated, fresh dishes new to the menu, including highlights like the following. New entrees will also be introduced later this month.
Hot & Crispy Pork Belly (pickled fresno chilis, pearl onions, sesame seeds & pineapple hoisin glaze)
Yellowfin Tuna Tiradito (aji amarillo, cucumber, mango, corn nuts & spring onion)
Shaved Beets Salad (goat's milk feta, arugula, toasted hazelnuts, blood orange & white balsamic vinaigrette)
Heirloom Tomato Medley (ricotta salada, red onion, mint, balsamic glaze & evoo)
New handcrafted additions to the cocktail menu at The Betty include the Oaxacan Old Fashioned (Ocho Reposado Tequila, Banhez Mezcal, agave nectar & Fee Brothers Aztec Chocolate Bitters), the Rye Tai (Michter’s US1 Rye, Giffard Orgeat Pineapple, lemon & Angostura Bitters), and more.
At St. Julep, perched nine floors above the hotel’s lobby, Chef Jay oversees the playful yet refined rooftop menu, crafting kicked-up bar snacks, tacos and wings. Recently, St. Julep refreshed their cocktail menu with agave-forward cocktails like the fruity and cooling Neon Moon (Lalo Blanco Tequila, Chareau Aloe, dragon fruit syrup & lemon), the spicy and citrus-infused 5pm in Atlanta (Espolon Reposado Tequila, Ancho Reyes Verde, agave, lime & spicy bitters), the aptly named Smoke and Mûre (Banhez Mezcal, Combier Liqueur De Mûre, lime & ginger beer) with ginger notes and more!
St. Julep’s sky-high rooftop lounge offers indoor-outdoor seating brimming with vibrant energy from sunset to last call with thoughtful design surprises, panoramic views and a beverage program that’s become one of the city’s favorites for agave aficionados.
