LifeLine Animal Project, which operates three shelters across Fulton and DeKalb counties, is offering a “Twice the Fun for the Price of One” cat and kitten adoption promotion through August 31, 2025. The deal comes as the organization reports an unprecedented surge in animal intake, including record-breaking dog surrenders.
Here are the highlights from LifeLine’s operational summaries for May and June:
Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS):
984 animals came into the shelter in June 2025 — a 30%increase over June 2024 —- the highest intake since 2017

Combined Totals (FCAS + DCAS):

Despite the large numbers of animals coming in, LifeLine had a successful lifesaving rate of over 90% and continues to need the community’s support in adopting and fostering animals
To help ease overcrowding and promote feline companionship, LifeLine's BOGO adoption special allows adopters to take home two cats or kittens for just $25. Adopting in pairs helps reduce feline anxiety and supports socialization and enrichment.
LifeLine is also continuing its “Free Dog Friday” promotion through August 29, 2025. Every Friday, adopters can bring home a dog from any LifeLine shelter at no cost. All adoptions include spay/neuter, microchipping, and vaccinations.
