Free Vaccines, Veterinary Resources, and Pet Supplies for Local Families

LifeLine Animal Project is proud to announce the return of its Healthy Pets Spring events, offering free veterinary services and essential pet supplies to residents of DeKalb and Fulton counties.

These popular, family-friendly outdoor clinics are designed to ensure local pet owners have access to the care and resources they need to keep their animals healthy.

Healthy Pets in DeKalb County will take place on Saturday, February 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Assembly Atlanta (2582 Assembly Blvd) in Doraville. The event is hosted in partnership with Councilmember Warren Simmons and the City of Doraville, Assembly Atlanta, Petco Love, and the Banfield Foundation.

Healthy Pets in Fulton County will return later this spring in partnership with longtime LifeLine supporter Fulton County Commissioner Khadijah Abdur-Rahman. The date and location will be announced closer to the event.

At each Healthy Pets clinic, LifeLine will provide free vaccinations, spay/neuter vouchers redeemable at LifeLine clinics, microchipping, pet food, collars, leashes, and more. Services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration is required. Dogs should be on leashes and cats in carriers.

LifeLine’s Healthy Pets events have served thousands of families and pets across Metro Atlanta, helping preserve the human-animal bond despite financial barriers to care. The event is rain or shine, but additional details and weather-related updates will be shared at LifeLineAnimal.org/healthy-pets and on LifeLine Animal Project’s social media channels.

ABOUT LIFELINE ANIMAL PROJECT

Founded in 2002, LifeLine Animal Project is Georgia’s largest animal welfare nonprofit and the organization that operates the public animal shelters for Fulton and DeKalb counties –  the only open-intake shelters serving those communities. LifeLine helps more than 46,000 pets each year, taking responsibility for every animal that enters the public shelter system. Beyond shelter operations, LifeLine leads the region in prevention-focused animal welfare, operating the largest spay/neuter program in Georgia, and providing free and low-cost veterinary care through two clinics and a mobile unit. LifeLine’s community programs support pets and families with food, supplies, and access to care so that animals can remain safely in their homes whenever possible. LifeLine was created to build the lifesaving infrastructure that Atlanta needed and continues to strengthen the system that allows animals to leave shelters alive.
