Texas Rattlers Defeat Reigning PBR Teams Champion Austin Gamblers Sunday Afternoon in Duluth, Georgia to Remain No. 1 in the League

Florida Freedom make history, logging the team’s first perfect game and league’s seventh in defeating the Nashville Stampede 410.5-177.5 inside Gas South Arena


DULUTH, Ga. – As the first neutral site event of the 2025 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series concluded Sunday afternoon in Duluth, Georgia, the Texas Rattlers remained No. 1 in the league, knocking off their instate rival Austin Gamblers, while the Florida Freedom made history, recording their first perfect game as they defeated the Nashville Stampede in commanding form.


Sunday afternoon’s event also included winning performances from the Oklahoma Wildcatters, Missouri Thunder and Arizona Ridge Riders.


In the second game of the afternoon, the league’s reigning World Champion Austin Gamblers took on the Texas Rattlers in the first edition of the 2025 Land.com Texas Cup. Going 4-for-5, the Rattlers defeated their instate rivals by one ride score, beating the Gamblers 342.5-253.75. Texas’ win was highlighted by qualified rides from Claudio Montanha Jr., Daniel Keeping, Ezekiel Mitchell and Marcelo Procopio Pereira. Despite marking their third loss of the season, Austin covered 60% of their draws, as Sage Steele Kimzey, Dener Barbosa and Jose Vitor Leme all made the whistle.


By way of the win, Texas improved to 4-1 this season, remaining No. 1 in the league, and Austin slipped to 2-3 and dropped from No. 5 to No. 6 in the standings.


The Florida Freedom made history Sunday afternoon, registering the team’s first perfect game, and just seventh in the league’s four-year history, as they defeated the Nashville Stampede 410.5-177.5. The Freedom achieved perfection courtesy of scores from Thiago Salgado, Joao Lucas Campos, Joao Ricardo Vieira, Alex Cerqueira and John Crimber.


The victory improved Florida to 3-2 this season, climbing from No. 6 to No. 4 in the league, while Nashville now holds a 2-3 record, remaining No. 7 in PBR Teams.


Action inside Gas South Arena began with the New York Mavericks playing the Oklahoma Wildcatters. Backed by key scores from Cort McFadden and Kyler Oliver, the Wildcatters outlasted the Mavericks by one point, 175.25-174.25, to earn the team’s first game win of the 2025 PBR Teams season. Both teams are now 1-4 across 2025, and Oklahoma overtook New York for the No. 9 rank in PBR Teams.


The Missouri Thunder delivered a tenacious performance Sunday afternoon, upsetting the Carolina Cowboys by 4.25 points, earning their second win of the season 172.25-168. Missouri’s victory included qualified rides from opener Boudreaux Campbell and Felipe Furlan. The Thunder left Georgia with a 2-3 record, still No. 8 in the league, while the Cowboys returned to Carolina with a 3-2 tally across 2025, maintaining their No. 3 rank.

Last to take the dirt was the 2024 PBR Teams Regular Season Champion Kansas City Outlaws and the Arizona Ridge Riders. Veteran Luciano De Castro delivered Arizona the walk-off win as the Ridge Riders upset the Outlaws in come-from-behind form 171-87. Castro was joined by Everton Natan da Silva who first scored for Arizona in the opening frame.


When the dust settled in Georgia, Arizona improved to 4-1 in 2025, rising from No. 4 to No. 2 in the league, while Kansas City is now 3-2 and fell from No. 2 to No. 5 in the rankings.

Following a one-week break, the PBR Camping World Team Series next travels to Sunrise, Florida, and Amerant Bank Arena for the Florida Freedom’s Freedom Days on Aug. 8-10.

Competition begins at 7:45 p.m. ET on Friday, August 8, 6:45 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 9 and 1:45 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 10.
