RELEASE: World Renowed Actor Omar Epps to unveil I Will Graduate Poster Campaign
On September 16th and 17th world-renowned actor Omar Epps will be in New York to unveil the 2018/2019 I WILL GRADUATE Poster Campaign for the City of New York. There will be 2 days of events: September 16th, 2018: A private event from 6 pm to 9 pm (doors open 5 pm), held at Polygon (formerly Don Coqui Brooklyn) 299 Vandervoort Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211. On September 17th, 2018: Epps will unveil the poster at the Life Academy High School for Film and Music, 2630 Benson Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11214 from 8am to 10am.
On September 16th, the star of the FOX blockbuster television show "House" will film "In The Classroom" an original program hosted by Tonya Lewis Taylor, founder of Entertainers 4 Education Affiance/I WILL GRADUATE Program. Taylor will sit down with Epps to discuss his roadmap to success, struggles, and triumphs. The show will be taped in front of a live invitation-only audience. On September 17th Epps will visit Life Academy for Film and Music where he will address students and unveil his new poster campaign for the City of New York.
I WILL GRADUATE poster campaign is designed to create awareness, influence attitudes, behaviors and empower young people to succeed. This year the media campaign entitled "Keys to Success," will be on display in all of the public schools in NYC (approximately 1650 schools). The campaign will also be posted by the NYC Department of Education and other City Agencies. Omar Epps will join an elite group of celebrities that have been featured as part of the citywide campaign, past participants include: Daymond John (Shark Tank/ FUBU founder), Cold Play(Grammy Award winning Rock Band), Shad "Bow Wow" Moss (American rapper, actor and television host), Mary Mary(Grammy Award-winning Gospel Duo) Santonio Holmes (NY Jets Wide Receiver).
