MOONDOGS HOSTS A TEXAS HOLD’EM CHARITY TOURNAMENT BENEFITTING BERT'S BIG ADVENTURE


Proceeds Will Benefit Bert’s Big Adventure, A NonProfit Organization That Provides Year-Round Support For Kids With Chronic and Terminal Illnesses

Atlanta, GA (June 21, 2021) - On Thursday, June 24th, poker fanatics are invited to play their best hands during Moondogs' Texas Hold'em Charity Tournament benefitting Bert’s Big Adventure, a nonprofit organization that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families. Established by famed radio host Bert Weiss of “The Bert Show”, Bert’s Big Adventure also provides year-round support through countless initiatives such as the Reunion Adventures, the Fairy Godparent volunteer program and additional charitable services. Beginning at 9 p.m., the decks will be cut and the players will take their seats for a chance to win top tier prizes including a $400 cash prize and two Bert’s Big Adventure branded lawn chairs for first place. Second place will receive a $200 cash prize and a Bert’s Big Adventure baseball cap, while third place will earn a $100 cash prize and a Bert’s Big Adventure t-shirt.


Players looking to give back even more are able to donate $5 to Bert’s Big Adventure before the tournament begins and receive a 5,000 chip (one time only). Guests can also purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win exciting prizes including Bert’s Big Adventure branded swag, 4 Atlanta Braves tickets with a parking pass to the July 2nd game, a CutWater Spirits hat, a $250 Cutco Kitchen voucher for a knife skills class that includes complimentary food, drinks and a demonstration of materials and so much more.
