NETHERWORLD HAUNTED HOUSE KICKS OFF HAUNT SEASON LABOR DAY WEEKEND AT DRAGON CON
ATLANTA:Dragon Con fans are in for a scare, courtesy of NETHERWORLD Haunted House! With haunt season on the horizon, NETHERWORLD once again returns to Dragon Con, with a booth at the convention and its nightmarish creatures, realistic costumes, Halloween spirit, and an elaborate experiential float participating in the annual parade.
Taking place yearly during Labor Day Weekend, Dragon Con is known as the largest multi-genre and pop convention in the world. Year after year, the convention draws tens of thousands of comic book, sci-fi, cosplay, and gaming fans to Atlanta where their favorite characters and fantasy worlds come to life. Since its creation in 1997, NETHERWORLD has played a significant role in Dragon Con every year, including acting as a sponsor for the official Dragon Con Parade broadcast on WUPA-TV, Atlanta 69.
“NETHERWORLD is set to open in just a few short weeks, and Dragon Con is the perfect warm-up in prep for Halloween and haunt season,” said NETHERWORLD Haunted House co-creator Billy Messina. “If you’ve never been to the parade, quite simply, it’s the ultimate Atlanta tradition and an amazing experience for the entire family.”
This year, NETHERWORLD will feature multiple vehicles in the iconic parade, including an over-the-top float. For the first time ever, the haunted attraction will also debut new creepy characters from this year’s haunt themes, PRIMORDIAL and CRYPTID CHAOS to the public at the parade. In addition, attendees can expect some of NETHERWORLD’s classic characters to make an appearance including The Collector, Wraith, Reaper, Banshee, and more. NETHERWORLD is also proud to participate in Dragon Con’s horror track, the convention's home for twisted tales and dark fantasy, featuring a nightmarish lineup of panels, topics, and guests. The haunted house team will have a booth set up on the Marquis level of the Atlanta Marriott Marquis for the entire weekend where they will be recruiting actors, taking photos with attendees, and sharing additional information about this year’s horrifying haunts.
A few short weeks after Dragon Con, horror enthusiasts can look forward to NETHERWORLD’s official opening weekend on Friday, Sept. 22 and Saturday, Sept. 23.
