Atlantic Station Receives National GOLD Award of Excellence For Outstanding Landscape Management

ATLANTA: Atlantic Station, a 138-acre neighborhood featuring a 523,500-square-foot mixed-use development in the Heart of Atlanta, is thrilled to announce it has received the GOLD Award of Excellence from theNational Association of Landscape Professionals, making it one of only three retail commercial centers in the country to receive this award.


“We are incredibly honored to be chosen as one of the select few centers nationally to receive the distinguished GOLD Award of Excellence,” said Robert Rowlinson, Retail Property Manager of Hines, the managing agency for Atlantic Station. “This recognition is a reflection of the pride we and the GMI landscape management team take in the beautification of Atlantic Station and the landscape design we carefully crafted to complement our vibrant community.”


The National Association of Landscape Professional Awards of Excellence annually recognizes outstanding commercial and residential lawn care projects that exemplify high-quality management and attention to detail. Projects in these categories range in size and scope from less than $25,000 to more than $1 million. The prestigious awards are determined on a 100-point scoring system by a panel of industry professionals from all regions of the U.S. Projects in these categories are judged on appearance, a range of landscaping techniques, maintenance schedules, pest control programs and any unusual constraints or challenges to the project.


Atlantic Station's picturesque urban landscape is managed by GMI National Service Company, whose care includes ground mowing, plant and tree maintenance, irrigation management, street sweeping, landscape enhancements, seasonal color changes and more. From hand watering more than 220 seasonal planted containers to utilizing over 900 flats of color and 500 3-gallon plants during each 16-hour seasonal color change to enhancing the interesting architectural elements of the property, every aspect of the 30363-landscape design is meticulously crafted and maintained by GMI’s expert team, creating a lively and dynamic atmosphere in the neighborhood.


Atlantic Station will receive this esteemed award at this year’sELEVATE Conferenceat the Gaylord Texan Resort & Conference Center in Dallas, TX, on Sept. 11. The annual conference and expo, which takes place Sept. 10-13, brings together thousands of landscape industry icons and exhibitors to reimagine the future of the industry and celebrate outstanding landscape design.
