Del Frisco's Grille Atlanta is MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!

I have NEVER endorsed a restaurant until now. I'm a tough critic with good reason. When I dine out I expect the best service possible. And it takes a lot to impress me. This establishment has done all that and then some. Where do I begin?

This eatery is set in the heart of Buckhead, across from Lenox Square mall. This area has changed throughout the years but maintains a standard of high-end storefronts. It shares the same area as the pristine Mardarin Oriental Hotel.

Upon entering, we were warmly greeted and escorted to an open table. The feel so far was different but welcoming. Both the booth and table were immaculate. It was brunch hours but I'm glad to see that they stay on top of their appearance.

We ordered the spicy guacamole to start things off. I had no idea what a treat we were in for. I'm a fan of my own guac so I'm pretty picky when it comes to others. When I go to places the guac is usually bland and boring. This guacamole was the BEST guacamole that I've EVER had ANYWHERE! It was so rich in flavor. It made me sad when it was finished. Seasoned with fresh tomatoes, red onions, cilantro and lemon/lime. They added a little something extra to it. I don't know exactly what but I will find out.

After that, I was ready to delve into a main course. My heart was set on the red velvet waffles. I had been dreaming about them all week. I saved up calories and everything. That was gonna be my fix this afternoon. Parmesan fries sounded good as well.

The red velvet waffles were 100 times better than I had ever imagined! This soft & fluffy confectioners' dream was dusted in cocoa and drizzled with frosting. The last bite was just as tasty as the first. Again it was sad take that last bite but so worth it.

If you don't already know, I'm a fries connoisseur. I love some good french fries. These fries were Great! They were cooked golden, then sprinkled with parmesan and chives. OMG! I ate every last bite.

As if I wasn't stuffed enough, I decided to try their signature dessert. The Lemon Doberge Cake. This cake replaces every cake that I've ever thought about in life. Its moist texture instantly puts you on cloud nine. Its not sugary. I love that! I had when dessert overcompensate with extra sugar. It was light fluffy and hit the spot just right.

In addition to this main dining room there was an additional private dining area, that can be closed off to the public. From the furniture to the artwork on the walls, everything is totally in sync. When you step up the staircase, you enter another universe. This level is even more impressive than the first. You're greeted by a distinct red themed light sculpture suspended in the air. It was created specifically for this location.

Once upstairs, you immediately enter the dining area. There is another private area, which would be great for conferences or business meetings. The patio is jam packed with customers. This area is most popular during the summer months. The view of the city is simply breathtaking while sipping on their signature pineapple cocktail, The VIP. Towards the back of the house is the flatbread kitchen? Yes, you read that right. There is a kitchen space devoted to their ever so wonderful flatbreads. And Yes its worth it!

I like to see a general manager on the floor. It means that they are keeping a watchful eye on whats going on. Michael Clarke is by far my favorite GM. He was constantly up & down the stairs, talking with customers and guiding staff. Thats the type of GM every restaurant should have.

If you live in Metro Atlanta and you have not visited, you are doing yourself a disservice. There is something on the menu for everyone. I'm vegetarian and there were so many choices for me to choose from. When you do stop by ask for GM Michael Clarke and tell him Ash Said It sent you. You may get a bonus after your meal.
